The City of Light was all about neutral shades, interesting silhouettes, and a touch of quirky detailing.
It’s been said that oftentimes people save the best for last. Truer words were never spoken as in Paris we received front row statements. While Rihanna might have stolen the show with her family at Dior’s show, it was her blush slip dress later that evening while partying at 1 Oak’s Parisian pop-up that had everyone talking. Pairing it with thigh-high vinyl boots, RiRi brought her bad-gal side to the City of Light—albeit for just a night. Also favoring light shades were Zoë Kravitz, Zendaya, and Leelee Sobieski who donned optic white dresses with distinctive detailing. Kravitz, who walked in Alexander Wang’s last Balenciaga show, kept her dress on straight through for the French Vogue party, while Zendaya married sporty and ladylike elements in her Katherine Mavridis dress, playing with proportion and sheer panels. Contrasting both of these was Leelee Sobieski in a very demure high-neck dress from Dior which was given a touch of allure via a nipped-in waist.
It’s hard to believe Kendall Jenner walked her first runway show in February 2014, in a sheer deep V and bleached brows for Marc Jacobs. Over the past four weeks, she’s modeled for Givenchy, Balmain, and Chanel, and, in case there was any ambiguity about her popularity, she also holds the title for the most-liked photo on Instagram. The 19-year-old’s wildly successful modeling career has—like the rest of her life—been well documented, but to bid farewell to fashion month, here are five things you likely never knew about Jenner.
